Forestry Trunk Road

[edit] Route Description

The Forestry Trunk Road is a remote rural road in western Alberta. It connects Hinton with Coleman. While parts of the road are paved, others are unpaved gravel, only passable in good conditions unless suitably-equipped vehicles are used[1][2]. It was initially created to facilitate forest fighting in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Services are only available at select points along the route, including at Hinton and Coleman in the north and south respectively, and in Nordegg and Cadomin.
