From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Forbidden Lie$ is an Australian documentary released in September 2007.
[edit] Synopsis
It tells the story laid out in Forbidden Love, then follows the media investigation which lead to Norma Khouri being labelled a fraud. The director of the documentary, Anna Broinowski, allows Khouri a chance to prove the story was not entirely fictional (which Khouri maintains despite evidence to the contrary), and follows her to Jordan. The director uncovers bigger and bigger faults in Khouri's story; this coupled with evidence of massive scams allegedly done by Khouri in her life prior to authoring Forbidden Love leave the audience with the impression that Khouri is a sophisticated con artist.
