Forbach is a town and commune, in the Moselle département, in France. It is located near the German border. Population (1999): 22,784.
When travelling by train between Germany and France, the station in Forbach is where Customs procedures were performed until the Schengen treaty, and trains change from right-hand running (Germany) to left-hand running (France).
The French singer Patricia Kaas is from Forbach.
