Category:Former first-class cricket clubs

This category has been created to hold articles about cricket clubs that played first-class or major matches in the past, but are no longer first-class in the 21st Century. Some of the clubs still exist while others have folded, though some of the latter have been refounded.

The initial aim of the category is to identify clubs from the 18th and 19th centuries, whether they be local clubs like Chertsey, Dartford, Hambledon, London and Slindon which played "great matches"; or even county clubs like Berkshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk which once held first-class status.
