[edit] Club template with flags
I've noticed that a lot of club templates are using the national team template style, which uses the small flag icons either side of the coloured header bar. This has led to a lot of images being unfairly used instead of one or both of the flags. I would advise that a plain banner, as seen here for example, is a better choice for club templates. Furthermore, the use of national flags on certain clubs' templates can lead to controversy: Do we use a Spain or Catalunya flag for Barcelona? Also there is the issue of regional/city emblems - not all are fair use, so it is rather difficult to patrol the use of such things. Therefore use of a plain banner for all club pages is further endorsed by SLUMGUM yap stalk 18:20, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Proposal
Since the current template is being little controversial, I propose to change for this one with Hide/Show option:
1. Buffon | 2. Zaccardo | 3. Grosso | 4. De Rossi | 5. Cannavaro | 6. Barzagli | 7. Del Piero | 8. Gattuso | 9. Toni | 10. Totti | 11. Gilardino | 12. Peruzzi | 13. Nesta | 14. Amelia | 15. Iaquinta | 16. Camoranesi | 17. Barone | 18. Inzaghi | 19. Zambrotta | 20. Perrotta | 21. Pirlo | 22. Oddo | 23. Materazzi | Coach: Lippi

- Few things, doesnt change the fact its useless clutter, its default currently is show, which leaves the initial problem completely as it was, these things are just the same crap as userboxes, except that by copying a bit of legitimate information into them people suddenly think they're vital and useful things. - We need a system that can hold all World Cup templates together and hidden by default. I'd like to see just one bar entitled something like Italy — World Cup squads (show). Within this would be all the squads that player has been involved in. Otherwise it's still clutter in my eyes. aLii 16:15, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
