Fondlecorpse
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fondlecorpse is a death metal band from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. They are influenced by oldschool death metal bands and use horror movie samples as part of their sound. The band was formed in 1996 and has had a lot of line-up changes until settling into the band it is today.
In 2002 finally a split 7" record was with fellow dutch deathmetal band Inkblack on the small dutch label Oakking Records.
In 2003 a full 7" record was recorded called Limbless and was also released on the small dutch label Oakking Records.
After this release the band was signed to Razorback Records where the first full length is supposed to be released on in the future.
In 2004 the band contributed an exclusive track Razorback attack (based on the movie Razorback from Australia) to the Razorback Horror Hive Compilation disc celebrating the 5 year anniversary of the label.
In 2005 all the bands material was released on one CD called From Beyond the Crypt including some rare rehearsals on the dutch label Posercrusher Records.
2007 saw Fondlecorpse scheduled to release a split album with fellow Razorback Records labelmates Frightmare, but due to Frightmare taking a temporary hiatus, released the material themselves as the Mini-CD "Blood and Popcorn"
