"Follow You Home" is the first song on Canadian rock band Nickelback's fifth studio album All the Right Reasons.
[edit] Meaning
The song is about a stalker who will always follow a woman (who is unidentified) home, no matter what she does, even if she tries to kill him. The woman in the song is referred to as the singer's "Mississippi Princess" and "California Queen", suggesting that she is the only woman in his desire, and he is totally, probably obsessively, in love with her.
It is suggested that this song may not be about stalking, but simply about the individual loving the woman so much that he doesn't want to let her go, and will go through anything to get her. "You can slap me in the face/And you can scream profanities" suggests that despite what the woman does, he will still love her, no matter what.
[edit] Trivia
- A live version was featured on the special edition of the album, and on the "Savin' Me" single.
