Foam latex is a form of latex which is used in masks and facial prosthetics to change a person's outward appearance. Foam latex is used in masks in many movies as well as in music. It has also seen heavy use in the field of stop motion animation being used to form the skin and muscles of many stop motion puppets. It is frequent featured in productions that supposedly make use of clay as it is much easier to work with and can be made and painted to resemble clay, on such such production is the show celebrity deathmatch in which the various celebrities who appear to be made of clay are in fact foam latex over wire armatures . Such artists as Lordi and GWAR wear costumes that include this material.
