Foam soap is a way of injecting air into a liquid soap formula where tiny cellular membranes encapsulate the air forming a foam. The logic behind this is that it reduces the time needed to lather regular soap and in general expedites a trip taken to the bathroom. As well, it encourages people to wash their hands just so they can use the foam soap. Once the novelty wears off, however, this may fade.
