FM OSAKA Co., Ltd. (株式会社エフエム大阪? written as "fm osaka") is a radio station in Osaka, Japan. It is an affiliated station of Japan FM Network (JFN).

[edit] History of fm osaka
On April 1, 1970, fm osaka started broadcasting as the first private FM station (second in FM) in Nakanoshima, Osaka nationwide as the only FM radio station affiliated with Japan FM Network (JFN) in the Kansai region. As it was starting, fm osaka had a transmitting station in Mt. Ikoma, but it was moved to Mt. Iimori later on because of the transmission; it flew in, but was pointed out to outside of Osaka. Now, fm osaka, FM802 and NHK FM Broadcasting in Osaka are at the prefecture's level station to assure that Osaka is in the broadcast area. By the way, which transmits a message from the Ikoma mountain range top because FM COCOLO is broadcast in major city Kansai such as Osaka, Sakai, Higashiosaka, Kobe, Amagasaki, Kyoto, Nara and at Kansai International Airport.
In the past, fm osaka broadcasted from Asahi Shimbun Osaka Headquarters building in Nakanoshima, but it restarted broadcasting from "Minatomachi River Place" in Minatomachi, Naniwa-ku at 1:00 p.m. on July 22, 2002.

The own company production ratio of a program can say that dependence degree to a net program of JFN is low in this sense comparatively highly if compared with a district FM broadcasting station except three major urban areas (as for fm fukuoka, similarly.) In a sense there was living apart of a listener before because I was different from FM802 in a tendency of selection of music and a hue of a program greatly. For example, I took up fm osaka by a program positively whereas FM802 did not carry away a song of "Komuro family" very much.
It was about time when it, and DJ KOO and Tetsuya Komuro appeared in every day in mini-program "BRAND NEW COMMER" in "J land shuffle" (live broadcasting public from Tower Records in Umeda Malle Building) of a broadcasted J pop specialty program for 4-7:00 in afternoon on a weekday in 1990s and I showed considerably many new songs such and ANISS, Kengo Otani at the producer dawn before still having Komuro boom and was able to stream down much produce pooftah.

Audience rating was number one, but, since opening of an office, is robbed of the seat since opening of an office of FM802 (a series of JAPAN FM LEAGUE) for neighborhood for 20 years.
After the large reorganization that has been performed to (Nakanoshima → Minatomachi) after a headquarter shift as well as rise of α -Station (Kyoto / Shiga District) going through few original routes in the country, a fall of audience rating is remarkable more now. In addition, I compare it before a move and come to change programming frequently and am made to stand in the extremely severe situation (I add a difference to an AM radio greatly).
As one of these causes, a JFN net program cannot deny an obstacling point in programming. In fact, because Saturday / Sunday has little own company production, audience rating deteriorates. In addition, it is assumed that there is the tendency that is not accepted too much as for the JFN net program in Keihanshin district district because audience rating of FM802 and a -Station walking an original route is high.
