[edit] RE: Performance timelines on tennis pages
Thanks for your message. I have, as you have noted, discussed the Grand Slam perfromance timelines on tennis players' pages with User:Tennis expert, and I told him that I agree in principle with what he's trying to do becuase it makes the different levels of performance by players at each Grand Slam event very clear (however I'm not in a position to approve this as such, I was just giving him my opinion). I never discussed the exact color scheme with him, just the principle of using more colors to differentiate. I agree with you that some of his color choices are quite bright and jarring, and pastel shades would probably be more pleasing to the eye.
Tennis expert can be a bit stubborn at times, and doesn't like people criticising his choices unless they explain their reasons for doing so carefully (but I guess none of us like having our work criticised without good reason, so he's not unique in that). I'd suggest that you leave a message on his talk page in which you outline a proposed new color scheme for the performance timelines and perhaps show him an example of how this would look on the timeline for one of the players. You can then offer to help implement this on the different players' pages. And be prepared to discuss it with him in a calm and polite way if he seems unconvinced. I've found that Tennis expert is someone who has strong views about how things should look and is not affraid to stand up for his opinions, but he's also someone who's prepared to listen and take on board other people's opinions when they express them in a reasonable and well-explained manner.
If you're looking for a range of colors that could potentially be used in the performance timelines, try clicking on this link: Web colors
I hope that helps.

[edit] Infobox
Oh I'm not that big of a fan. I do realise your edits were in good faith and correct, but the practice at wikipedia (and other football sites) is to count league goals only. Had to revert, nothing personal. Toodle-oo Razororz 22:02, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ruud van Nistelrooy stats
Where did you find your stats on Ruud van Nistelrooy's time at Manchester United? It's slightly different than my source is telling me, which is normally very accurate. Please take a look at [1]. Cheers, SportsAddicted | discuss 07:15, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, I will compare them and change where necessary. SportsAddicted | discuss 11:41, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Club crests in info boxes
Hi, unfortunately, you can't include include club crests in infoboxes, as they are copyrighted images and fair use only applies when you're specifically discussing the club or the crest itself. Thanks.

- Oh, it's not a big deal, and copyright is ridiculously complicated. Thank you for understanding. Cheers. Ytny (talk) 14:00, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Hello, I have modified your picture about Roger Federer, I hope, you like it. Please use it if you wish :) Of course I released it under the same license as you did, and named you as the original uploader. My version: [3], the meaning of its title is 'Federer practising'.
