Fluid Engineerz [1] is a Knoxville Tennessee based Hip Hop group comprised of three members: Science O'Mega[2], Dynamic and Black Atticus[3]. Although they are presently gaining immense popularity and momentum, the group originated in 1997 when emcee, DJ and producer Science O'Mega partnered with emcee Dynamic and formed the rap duo, the Fluid Engineerz. Because of their "abstract " style rap reminiscent of De La Soul or Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth, they performed at local rap contests, talent shows, and other venues in Knoxville. They later included a third and final emcee, Black Atticus. Collectively, they form one of the most promising Hip Hop sounds in the Tennessee area.
Seven years ago, Fluid Engineerz began performing in the 'old city' area in Knoxville with other local hip hop artists. After refining the Fluid Engineerz sound, the trio released their album "New School Suspension Volume 1 in 2004", as well as a 12 inch single "Love4This", and "The Basics" featuring Cesar Comanche [4] of the critically acclaimed North Carolina hip hop collective Justus League. In 2006, Fluid Engineerz recorded their most current work "New School Suspension Volume 2" featuring Cesar Comanche, Edgar Allen Floe[5], and Supastition[6]. Fluid Engineerz are also the founders of the Hip Hop collective Heavy Rotation Dept including members from New York, Chicago, Illinois and Greenville, Tennessee.
