TOMAS MALVECINO GANIRON BIOGRAPHY Tomas Malvecino Ganiron was born on May 15, 1944 in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte. Tomas was among the 5th siblings of Basilio Hermano Ganiron and Anacleta James Ganiron. He enrolled in Roosevelt High School in 1960. He got his first job at the Ateneo de Manila to support his financial needs in College. Tomas earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree major in Accounting from the University of the East,Manila. He entered in the Philippine Air Force Tomas and 10 years hence, he was promoted full Master Sergeant because of his success in the battle of Mactan and Zambuanga . He was assigned in the 520th and was given a position of First Sergeant for seven consecutive years. Because of his conribution in the battle, the Deputy Commandant encouraged Tomas to take a course in Marine Advance NCO to be able to upgrade his military skills. Later,he become one of instructor in the Philippine Air Force and two years hence, Tomas received Military Merit Medal. In order to develop his craft as a military, Tomas was transferred to 526th ABS Squadron and gave him a challenge duties and responsibilities. With the helped of his Squadron Commander, Tomas demonstrated a new military tactics to avoid “coup d etat” to Philippine Air Force. Again, Tomas was assigned as First Sergeant by his commander. During his regime, he developed many juniors enlisted personnel through military skills. In 1999, Tomas retired as a military soldier and received Long Service Medal with battle star and Military Commendation Medal. After six years of his retirement,Tomas died in the Philippine General Hospital due to prone cancer. Because of his contribution to the Philippine Air Force ,Tomas was given twenty one gun salute by the soldiers of Philippine Air Force and buried in the “Libingan ng Mga Bayani “(Cemetery of the Heroes) on April 21, 2006. He left his wife Nieves U. Ganiron with three sons Tomas Jr, Tomas 11 and Tomas 111
