[edit] Sufficient?

Has the article been edited enough to remove the 'importance' banners at the top? Or are they still necessary? --Buckaroo54 17:48, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Not in my opinion. The article is still just a collection of lists, rather than a source of substantive information, not to mention that I still can't seem to find a valid claim to notability (being in operation for two years is not such a claim). At the point that this article actually contains useful information, rather than just a bunch of different lists, then I will agree to remove the tags. - pm_shef 00:39, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deprod

I think the article is on a reasonably notable group. It's also linked from the National Forensics League article, and this article is as fleshed or better than some other states' leagues (e.g. California).

That said, the article needs some expansion. For one thing, definition of the regions mentioned in the article would be very useful. —C.Fred (talk) 04:17, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

  • I prodded this article because IMO, it makes no claim to notability. Unless someone can provide one, I'm going to nominate it for AfD in the next few days. - pm_shef 16:00, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Its claim to notability is that it is the governing body for school debate in the state of Florida. That has been clarified in the introduction to the article. —C.Fred (talk) 16:10, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
    • I still don't see that as notable. Should the governing bodies of high school debate in every jurisdiction have articles? Every state, province, city, region, etc..? The organization has no notable history, little to no media exposure, and under 1500 Google hits, the third of which is Wikipedia. - pm_shef 16:18, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
      • Not all the way down to the city level, no. I don't think that every school is notable, but ones with informative, well-written articles are. Likewise, this article has a good bit of information. —C.Fred (talk) 17:50, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:FFL logo WEB.jpg

Image:FFL logo WEB.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
