Flozell Adams[1] (born May 18, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American football Offensive Tackle who currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL.

[edit] High school career
Adams attended Proviso West High School in Hillside, Illinois, from 1990–1994 and was a letterman and a star in football, wrestling, and track and field. In football, he was an All-State selection as a senior, and in wrestling, he went to the state heavyweight wrestling finals as a junior.

Flozell Adams attended Michigan State University. As a senior, he won All-America honors, was named the Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year, and was a semi-finalist for the Outland Trophy and the Lombardi Award. As a sophomore, he was a second team All-Big Ten Conference selection.

Adams, who was drafted in the 1998 NFL Draft has been with the Dallas Cowboys his entire career. He tore his ACL in 2005 against the New York Giants and was out for the remainder of the season. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl four times in his career. Adams made the All-Pro second team for the first time in his career in 2007. On February 28, 2008, Adams signed a new 6-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys. The deal is in the neighborhood of $42 million, including $15 million in guaranteed money and about $13 million in signing bonus.

Adams is the cousin of former NBA player Hersey Hawkins. His nickname is "The Hotel," in reference to his 340-pound frame. He currently resides in Flower Mound, Texas.
