Flowerdrum

Flowerdrum were an English Indie Rock band of the early 1990's from Cinderford, Gloucestershire, UK. They were formed by brothers Leigh and Derry Brownson, the latter of which later went on to enjoy great success as a member of the band EMF. After Derry Brownsons departure the band (named after the musical Flower Drum Song) released the singles 'The Heat Is On' c/w 'This Love Is Real' (1991) and 'World Turned Upside Down' c/w 'Happening Crazy' (1992) on their own independent WAC Records label. The line up for these releases was as follows;
Paul Tippins - Vocals, Leigh Brownson - Guitar, Darren Newman - Bass, Adrian Lugg - Drums, Anthony Gazzard - Keyboards, Tania (surname unknown) - Backing Vocals.
Flowerdrum split in 1993. Leigh Brownson formed the band LK with his brother Derry and signed to Island Records.
