A flounder boat is specifically designed to pursue the "gigging" of flounder. Flounder gigging is a method of fishing where the pursuant fisherman uses an instrument called a "gig" to extract fish from the water....similar to gigging frogs, but much better.
The flounder vessel typically has a flat, wide bottom for optimal stability in the shallowist of waters. Flounder vessels use a push-pole to navigate the banks and flats where flounder may be lying. An electrical generator is used to power massive light arrays for the prime viewing of these flat fish. The unexpectant flounder lays calmly in the shallow, cooler waters in hopes that a shrimp or minnow will accidentally swim in their path for an easy dinner. Unbeknownst to the flounder, the flounderer is lurking in their flounder vessel with a flounder gig and a flounder stringer to put the "caught" fish on.
