Floris Braat

Floris Braat (born September 29, 1979 in Eindhoven) is a Dutch slalom canoer.
Floris Braat started his canoe racing career at the age of 10 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. At the age of 14, he was the youngest participant at the Junior Worlds in Waussau, Chicago, where he finished in 18th position. He achieved his biggest success when winning the World Cup of 2000 in Seu D'Urgell, Spain. Braat represented the Netherlands at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens where he finished in 17th position after reaching the semi finals at the K-1 slalom. His effort was not enough to reach the finals.
