Florida Philharmonic Orchestra (1956-1982)

This article is about the original Florida Philharmonic which folded in 1982. For the later incarnation of the Florida Philharmonic, founded in 1985, see Florida Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Miami Philharmonic Orchestra was a symphony orchestra based in Miami, Florida. It was initially led by Fabien Sevitzky, and later by Alain Lombard. The orchestra later changed its name to the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra (not to be confused with a later orchestra founded in 1985 sharing the same name.)
The orchestra folded in 1982 following extensive labor disputes.[1]
