The Florida Community College System consists of 28 community colleges across the state of Florida.[1] While governed by local boards, the colleges and technical centers are coordinated under the jurisdiction of the the State Board of Education. Administratively, the Chancellor of Community Colleges and Workforce Education is the chief executive officer of the system, reporting to the Commissioner of the State of Education who serves as the chief executive officer of Florida's K-20 Education System.
