Florian Gallenberger

Florian Gallenberger (b. 1972 in Munich) is an Academy Award-winning German movie director.

Gallenberger appeared in various roles in feature films, TV productions and theater plays from the age of five. From 1992-1999, he studied Directing at the University of Television and Film Munich In 2000 he won both the Honorary Foreign Film Award and the Oscar in the Live Action Short Film category with Quiero Ser which is set in Mexico.

In 2004 he made his first feature-length film with Shadows of Time a sad love story which is set in India and filmed in Bengali. The saga begins in the 1940s and is spread over 60 years.
