The Florence Network for Nursing and Midwifery is an organization of 34 Schools of Nursing in Higher Education in 16 European countries.

The main goals are to: Make Nursing and Midwifery more visible in Europe
- Exchange students and teachers
- Compare curricula and improve quality of Nursing and Midwifery education
- Co-operate in research in the Nursing and Midwifery works field.
- Develop European projects and intensive programs.
- Participate in realisation of the Bologna declaration in Europe.
- Get accreditation for Nursing and Midwifery education in Europe.
- Use the Erasmus - Socrates European programs
- For long term student exchange
- For teacher exchange
- For intensive programs
- For financing projects and disseminations

[edit] Annual meeting
Every year one of the institutions of higher educations ( the Universities ) are the host school for the Annual Meeting. IN 2007 it was at the Halmstad University in Sweden - in 2008 the conference will be held at the Masraryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. The host University for 2009 will be [The Hague University[2]] of professional education ( Haagse Hogeschool) The Hague in the Netherlands.
