Flore in The Flower Garden (お花畑のフローレ ohana hatakeno furo-re?) is a PC simulation game created by Kogado Studio, with the main character as Flore Milfia.
Flore in The Flower Garden was released on January 28, 2000, and gained success from the neighbouring Asia, including China and South Korea.

Flore Milfia is a weakly girl who loves to plant flowers in her own flower garden. One day she meets a mysterious tree spirit called Memoria, in the form of a girl who resembles Flore, the encounter which changes her life. Memoria says that, before she dies with the tree when the tree cuts down, her only wish is to see Florelmos (the town where Flore lives) full of flowers just as in the past.

The player's motive is to plant as many flowers as one can by the end of the game for the Ancient Tree to be able to blossom before the tree is cut down.
[edit] Major Characters
Flore Milfia: The protagonist of the game, who is calm and flower-loving. She requires to plant flowers for Memoria in the game, but her weakness may cause her some disadvantage.
Parfait Shucrell: Flore's childhood friend who cares a lot about Flore.
Reinette Kirsche: Reinette owns a shop of her own called Smile Market. She is the older sister of Cocotte Kirsche and constantly calls Flore by her made-up nickname, Flower Garden Girl.
Cocotte Kirsche: Reinette's smaller sister, who runs the Smile Market with Reinette. She visits Flore's flower garden often to talk with her, also to give her a rare seed.
Memoria: A tree spirit of the Ancient Tree in the Large Park, which is about to be cut down and thus requiring Flore to plant as many flowers as she can for Memoria to enjoy seeing before her death. Since Memoria is a spirit of a plant, she can understand the sayings of any plant as well as their emotion. Her resemblance to Flore causes, at first, for the other major characters to confuse her with Flore.
Flore's mother: The only other family of Flore ever since Flore's father has left with an unknown reason. She tells Flore of how, before Flore was born, the Ancient Tree in the Large Park was full of blossoms. This was before the plants, which have also covered the whole town, have mysteriously died, leaving the Ancient Tree to blossom no more.
