Floor manager
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A floor manager is a member of the crew of a television show.
A floor manager is responsible for managing the studio floor - that is, where the cameras, sets and talent operate. He or she is the link between the studio and the control room - that is, where the director and other technical staff operate.
A floor manager typically communicates with the performers of the show, verbally (during off-air times) and non-verbally (while on-air).
The role of a stage manager is quite different - rather akin to a television director.
