[edit] Rating the ToK
Hi. I'm trying to get members of the Psychology Project together and rate both the quality and importance of the Tree of Knowledge System. Hope you're interested. Have a great day! EPM 22:11, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Robert W. Smith
Thank you for your effort to cleanup this article. However, upon closer review, Activemusician.com cannot be used as a source for this article, since all it does is mirror the Wikipedia article. For greater explanation, please see Talk:Robert W. Smith. If you can find any other sources that can verify the statements in the article, please use those instead. Again, thank you for your work on Robert W. Smith. -- Johnny06man 16:55, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Troy
No problem, regarding reverting that Troy "controversy". I haven't been active on the article lately, but I edited it a bit when it was back in its stub stage and its still on my watchlist. I grew up in southeast Alabama and both my parents are Troy alumni, so there's a bit of a connection there for me. AUTiger » talk 03:05, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] KKPsi Honoraries
Even if Chuck Norris was inducted at Gamma, he'd have to be registered with Nationals, and he's not on the prominent members list. We had the same issue with Dave Chappelle being voted in by a chapter (Central State) but not confirmed. — BrotherFlounder 03:15, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
I am willing to accept your word on Chuck Norris, but Wikipedia demands a reliable published source. I'm not sure how one could be found in this instance. Cmadler 15:59, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- I suggest that you add an image of his shingle to the article, in the prominent members section. (The article does need more images, after all!) As a side notes, do you know that this is THE Chuck Norris, as opposed to some student who happens to have the same name (it does happen), and also, how did you get a picture of his shingle? Cmadler 10:29, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- I undid your edit from August 26 that again added Chuck Norris to the Prominent Members section of the article. Reiterating what Cmadler said, I think we would all be willing to take your word for it, but until it is cited from a reliable source, it can't be in the article. [edit] San Jose Task Force Invite
Please note that this task force is still unofficial, and I would like to have at least five members before asking for approval from WP:HOCKEY.
- Thanks for signing up, and now it is official at Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/San Jose Sharks task force. Thanks LegoKontribsTalkM 04:22, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] You are not an idiot
A whole bunch of us trying to get vandals.... we stumble over each other all the time... I lost count how many times I have made a mess ;-) So no worries and keep having fun stomping on vandals. ;-) --CanadianLinuxUser (talk) 17:42, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Accusation of vandalism
Regarding this edit, it was not vandalism as you accuse in this edit summary. I noticed the category redlinks and removed them as a courtesy, thinking that the categories had been deleted or had never been created. This is not an uncommon practice here as Wikipedia even has bots to perform such housekeeping. As far as I know, there is no Wikipedia policy that prohibits you from including your user page in non-existent categories, so the fact that you reverted my edit is fine. The fact that you accused me of vandalism is not. Wikipedia is a community and things like that are divisive. Please read WP:VANDAL to understand what vandalism is. Also read WP:AGF since assuming good faith is so important to the project. Thank you and I look forward to working with you on WP:Marching band and other areas of Wikipedia. →Wordbuilder (talk) 20:50, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- I don't make a habit out of going into other peoples' houses and "fixing" things such as lining up their wall art or dusting their mantle. Therefore, I find someone coming into my User Page, this tiny corner of Wikipedia that I call my home, and "fixing" things up rather vandalistic. Fliry Vorru (talk) 21:35, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

- I guess that's the difference between you and me. If I'm at someone's house and the door to their fridge doesn't quite shut or a glass is precariously near the edge of a table or the faucet didn't get completely shut off and I happen by, I'll take a moment to help out. So far, no one has filed charges with the authorities, accusing me of vandalizing their property.
-
- While you apparently still fail to understand or choose to ignore WP:VANDAL and WP:AGF, I'll steer clear of your little corner of Wikipedia. →Wordbuilder (talk) 21:58, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

- Oh, and reporting editors for non-vandalism doesn't make their "Wikipedia life hellish", it just makes admins wonder what you're getting so worked up about. →Wordbuilder (talk) 22:05, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] {{Marching-band-stub}}
Hi - I see you have recently created one or more new stub types. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals. This is partly in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies, and partly so that those who regularly deal with stub articles know what stub types are likely to need re-sorting soon. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type. And please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 04:16, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
