This article is completely wrongheaded. "Flicker" is an optical/biological phenomenon of which CRTs are one of many causes. Trying to write the article the other way round has made it the mess it is today. --88.109.83.157 15:33, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, this article IS titled "Flicker (screen)" -- it's supposed to deal with CRTs. The optical/biological phenomenon could/should have a page of its own, linked from the disambiguation page at Flicker. — Catherine\^talk 05:25, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

But as far as I can tell this is the only page on Wikipedia that attempts to cover the topic, and the overlap between any new article and this article would be so great that adapting this one seems best, especially as flicker produced by CRTs isn't such a special case that it deserves its own article. --88.109.83.157
