Flitch Green in Essex, England is a vibrant new housing development being built just outside of the ancient village of Little Dunmow. Flitch Green is located near the A120 dual carrageway, the village of Felsted, and the town of Great Dunmow is approximately 5 miles away. Flitch Green is located on an old sugar beet factory. Building of Flitch Green began approximately 5 years ago. The estimated population is just over 1,000. There are no public facilities here, but a neighbourhood centre is expected to open in 2008, as well as a primary school Oakwood Park will soon officially be its own parish in May 2008. Oakwood Park is also located right next to the Flitch Way a public right of way between Bishop's Stortford and Braintree where the old railway line used to be.
