The Flint RiverQuarium is a 15,000 sq. ft. aquarium located in Albany, Georgia.

Opened in 2004, it features both freshwater and saltwater river ecosystem of Southwest Georgia as well as the world. In the center of the aquarium is the "Blue Hole Spring," an open-air, 175,000 gallon, and 22 ft. deep tank filled by a natural spring below. It exhibits the diverse life forms of the Flint River, which runs through Southwest Georgia.

[edit] Architecture
The Riverquarium was designed by renowned architect Antoine Predock. Predock was inspired by natural colors, textures, and shapes of the geology and landscape of southwest Georgia.
