Flikken (Dutch-Flemish slang for "Cops") is a popular Flemish-Belgian TV series about a police-department located in Ghent. The show started in 1999 and is still running. In the series, police officers solve various crimes, which are shown as realistically as possible. It is produced by the VRT. The program was aired in Flanders, and later also in the Netherlands. It is expected that the show won't continue after 2009.

In the Netherlands, a Dutch version of the program, called Flikken Maastricht is in production.[1]
