[edit] Gough-Calthorpe family
Is Calthorpe Park related to the Gough-Calthorpe family? (There's a Calthorpe Park in Birmingham, too.) Andy Mabbett 09:10, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
Yes, I believe Sir Euan Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe lives fairly locally. Land belonging to the family may have been purchased to build the Calthorpe Park housing estate on which the school is built. (MatthewMain 14:46, 24 March 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Vandalism
"The high street is now renowned for the shininess of the poor quality shoes witnessed in The Old Emporium and the complete lack of class exhibited by drunken specimens staggering up the exit ramp of Jaxx. "
Although possibly accurate, not something for a serious encyclopedia. --GeologyTom (talk) 10:36, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
