Fletcher Beasley

Fletcher Beasley is a Los Angeles based composer. He wrote the score and title song for the HBO feature film “Roads to Riches”, starring Robert Forster and Rose McGowan. He composed music for the Nickelodeon animated movie, “Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Kids” [1] and recently has been contributing music to the PBS animated series, “The Zula Patrol” [2]. Fletcher also composed music for Steve Oedekerk’s upcoming animated series, “Dirk Derby."
Fletcher began his musical journey in Seattle, Washington. After experimenting with different instruments, he settled on the bass and was playing professionally in jazz and rock combos in the area by the age of 16. After studying with jazz great, Gary Peacock, Fletcher moved to Los Angeles and received a degree from UCLA. After college, Fletcher worked on staff as a composer/sound designer for various video game developers. He served as Audio Director at Adrenalin Entertainment and Digital Domain before becoming a freelance composer.
When not working on music, Fletcher enjoys teaching. He has taught a course on sound production in film at the University of California San Diego and was awarded a grant in 2002 from the American Composers Forum to create a ten week music program at the Poseidon School in West Los Angeles. Currently, he teaches courses in sound for film at Chapman University and Santa Monica College.
