Fleetwood Flyers

Fleetwood Flyers were a British Speedway team representing Fleetwood, England. [1]
They first competed in the National League Division Two in 1948 replacing Wigan Warriors after 3 matches, and were based at Highbury Avenue Sports Stadium in Fleetwood1948 to 1952. The team, originally called The Flyers, dropped out of the league and operated in 1952 on an open licence riding challenge matches as 'Fleetwood Knights'.
