[edit] McCabe's Guitar Shop

Earlier this evening, when I was just beginning an article on McCabe's Guitar Shop, you tagged it as reading like an advertisement. At that point, there were only a couple lines, and no sources. Since that time, I have substantially revised the article, including in-line references to all of the sources used in the article. The article now presents a balanced view of McCabe's, which is the most famous forum for folk music on the West Coast. It has been hosting the top folk musicians since the 1960s. More than a dozen of the genre's musician's have recorded live albums there. I don't think the tag is appropriate at this point and ask that you take another look and consider removing the tag.Cbl62 (talk) 03:59, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for removing the tag.Cbl62 (talk) 17:57, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon

The list of participants of the Pokémon WikiProject is quite sizable, however, there is no way to determine which of whom are active contributors to that project. All participants in the list have been moved to Inactive. If you consider yourself to be an active member of the Pokémon WikiProject, please go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon#Participants and move your username to the Active section. Thank you. I couldn't find any listing of these templates at WP:TFD but they are needed for {{10^}} and {{convert}} to work properly. I hope you reconsider your nomination but if not please list them on WP:TFD. Thanks. JЇѦρ 02:52, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I've found the listings. I'm assuming that you have withdrawn the nominations. I'll be untagging the subtemplates. JЇѦρ 07:19, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

  • History of timekeeping devices in Egypt was a DYK —The article appeared on the Main Page on April 8. With this text: "...that despite Herodotus's claim that the sundial was invented in Babylon, the oldest known example is from Egypt?" This also was only possible thanks to the Tzatziki Squad.

[edit] Proposed deletion of PointyRemote

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article PointyRemote, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Tiggerjay (talk) 20:41, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Can you provide a reason why you removed the PROD template from this article. The changes you made while removing the template do not appear to make the article more notable. Tiggerjay (talk) 05:59, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:PR-screenshot.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:PR-screenshot.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 23:08, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your help in this process. There is a bona fide barnstar that may be kind of what you're looking for that fits within Wikipedia guidelines—check out Wikipedia:Other_awards#The Outlaw Halo Award. Best --Eustress (talk) 03:03, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
