[edit] Good enough?

You said that if I made significant contributions, then I could have a clean slate.

How about this?

Regards, Flameviper in Exile 17:18, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

No. The entire Snapalope article is just paraphrased content from a single website for a marketing campaign. If you want to impress me, contribute some real research to an article. Please improve a featured article candidate or work on a WikiProject collaboration of the week. I'm looking for quality, not quantity. --  Netsnipe  ►  18:02, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hello again

This is Flameviper again. I did some cleanups, I thought you might like to know.

And how many cleanups and such will I need to get back my dignity?

Thanks,

Flameviper in Exile 20:06, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

By the way, I'm not trolling, I seriously want to know. RSVP. Flameviper in Exile 15:14, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Well since your article contributions so far haven't been exactly encyclopedic so far, I'd rather you revert 50 vandalism edits instead. 50 may sound like a lot, but it won't take long if you use any of the dedicated tools listed at Wikipedia:Cleaning up vandalism). After that, I'll even unban your original account if you want. --  Netsnipe  ►  15:27, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Gee willikers! I'm filled with glee! (No, seriously.) Flameviper in Exile 16:34, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Monobook misery

Okay...I followed the link you provided to the vandalism thing and was bold enough to attempt making my own monobook.js. However, I have no clue how it works. Can you give me an explanation of what to do?

Thanks, Flameviper in Exile 16:52, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

OK, you've gone a bit overboard with your monobook.js. You only really need two tools for now, User:Lupin/Anti-vandal tool to watch the live feed of recent changes and Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation popups to do reverts outside of recent changes patrol. Install one tool at a time when you need them because some of them conflict with each other. --  Netsnipe  ►  17:04, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah...I noticed that they keep crashing my IE. But holy shite! Admin power! This is awesome!!! Flameviper in Exile 17:05, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Nice to see you're getting to work fighting vandals. It's not quite "admin power" though. Having admin powers isn't fun I can tell you. It actually takes the fun of being a Wikipedian, since you gotta keep track of hundreds of people all vandalising and spamming or pushing their unwanted agendas. Then you keep on wondering whether you're starting to turn into an arrogant arsehole for banning too many people and wondering whether someone really deserves another chance or not. Every 6th account you come across starts to look like a sockpuppet. You start to lose sleep because you want to walk away, but you can't since you're afraid it'll all start falling apart if you don't pull your own weight...*sigh* --  Netsnipe  ►  17:37, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletions

Please read Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (people) carefully. Some of your nominations could easily have been turned into stubs or tagged as unreferenced. And if something doesn't fall under Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion explictly, then prod it or send it to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Try not to be a smart arse when requesting a speedy deletion. New users deserve to know exactly why their articles are to be deleted, not be taunted because that can often anger people into becoming vandals. Thanks --  Netsnipe  ►  21:46, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. I was just kind of carried away by the shiny new buttons. You know what, you're my new favorite admin. Flameviper in Exile 23:09, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WP:CSD#advert doesn't exist

Click the above link. Note that it doesn't go to a subsection called "advert" -- because it doesn't exist! Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion is official policy and can't be changed without consensus. It does not cover advertisements or corporations. Use {{prod}} instead and it'll get deleted after 5 days time if no one removes the tag. If anyone does remove the tag, you have to send it to WP:AFD instead. --  Netsnipe  ►  07:03, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, okay. Flameviper (i/e) 14:05, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Aya Bitch Project

Hi, I noticed you tagged Aya Bitch Project with CSD (with an interesting edit summary, I may add), but it turns out that this really is a real album by a real singer, believe it or not. I've cleaned up the article a bit and added some tags. In any case, I don't know if the article will end up staying, but it's not G1. Although I'll grant you that it certainly looked like a G1, the way it was written. --- Deville (Talk) 14:25, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, that is pretty weird...Flameviper (i/e) 16:15, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Umm...unblock maybe?

I was just wondering if you could unblock Flameviper12 and Flameviper-you said if I had 50 anti-vandalism edits that you would unblock them (most of my speedy delete tags don't show up since they're deleted content). Thanks, Flameviper (i/e) 14:13, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

You can go home now. = ) Which account do you want to use? Flameviper or Flameviper12? I need to leave one blocked per policy, but there won't be any block templates visible. --  Netsnipe  ►  14:28, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Well, it's kind of complicated. Um...Can you unblock Flameviper12 and unprotect both talk pages? Thanks! Flameviper (i/e) 16:16, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
