[edit] The breakup story
I heard this story from a guy I know. He used to work as crew for Flaw. He said they broke up because Christ Volz is an alcoholic and was drunk at a show when Ryan Jurhs the bassist started to play the song 'Whole'. Volz said it was the wrong song but the playlist confirmed it was right. But in his drunken state he punched the bassist in the face and a fistfight broke out. The bassist then vowed to never go on stage with chris again and the band broke up. I don't know if this is worthy enough to put on the article. However, it does explain why they suddenly broke up and shows were canceled. Someone else with more wikipedia experience can put it on if they want.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 164.107.204.71 (talk • contribs) 23:48, 7 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Article content
This article needs major work. See the Tool and Cold pages for good examples. This article focuses too much on the dissolution of the band and doesn't really give an effective biography in a whole.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.253.121.26 (talk • contribs) 20:48, 26 April 2006 (UTC).
- I have made some changes to enforce the neutrality of the page,in the Dissolution of Flaw part, the basic message is still there but I changed some of the sentences slightly as it seemed they were stating as a fact both that Universal ignored Flaw in favor of Godsmack which can not be confirmed beyond rumour and that Flaw was a "multi-facited cash-cow" which is hard to say since they were relatively well received but after all were dropped. We will never know if Flaw could've made if BIG.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.208.106.29 (talk • contribs) 04:36, 19 May 2006 (UTC).

- Someone apparently either felt it necessary to add that back in or it floated by in a reversion of vandalism. Either way, I've removed it for a second time. I agree that it seems highly unsubstantiated in regard to possible favoritism that Universal might have shown with one band over the other, much less passing over promoting either band less than they should have for interlinked reasons. Speculative notions like that, while interesting, don't belong here on Wikipedia unless someone can provide proof. 75.2.15.162 10:36, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

- I will try to remove some of the most biased sentances from the site but somebody else should take a look too in case I miss something or word it incorrectly. I am going to remove any mention that they were "pushed into the nu metal genre" since 1) when I last checked their website, long time ago I admit, it said they were and Aggro-metal band which is widely considered the same thing. 2) the article itself states that they are Nu metal and an article shouldn't contradict itself.Alex 17:09, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Former members
I was a big fan of flaw while they were together, and have done extensive research on them, and have found no references anywhere to "Tommy Wright" ever having anything to do with the band. Because of this, i am deleting him from the page, if anyone cna find any evidence of hin being in the band at some point, then by all means post it and put him back into the article.--69.213.152.186 09:51, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV
Clearly a mess as far as POV is concerned. zellin t / c 04:06, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- Provide some examples, if you could. I know just by looking at it that someone has altered the musical style section into something that reads like favourable praise but the rest of it seems sound, if not poor in structure. 75.2.15.162 10:26, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Flaw
why dose this page re-direct directly from the word Flaw or Flawed. is an obsure rock band really the most importent artical?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.186.66.167 (talk • contribs) 18:16, 9 March 2007 (UTC).
- This band is the most important subject with the name apparently, unless you can think of a more notable subject. And the band is not as obscure as you think, they played at ozzfest, were signed to Universal Records, and the members have gone unto other bands.--Leon Sword 21:34, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

- Article should be moved to flaw (band) and this page should redirect to fallacy where should be Template:Redirect saying: Flaw redirects here. For the band, see Flaw (band). And double redirects should be fixed after that. --193.198.16.211 06:37, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose. The fallacy article is about fallacies in an argument. The article has nothing to do with the word flaw at all, it's completely about argumentation and some of the common errors that people employ in an argument. --Leon Sword 01:47, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

- But word flaw refers to the band Flaw very rarely, so it would be good idea to move this article to Flaw (band). --193.198.16.211 11:02, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

My thoughts are that flaw shouldn't be this article, and that it should be at Flaw (band). Flaw might be best served as a dab page with wiktionary links. Flaws can be in a design, in a smooth surface, in a logical argument. that's what people think of when they hear "flaw". the article on Relational databases had a link to flaw. I propose a move and disambiguation. McKay 15:36, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, since there appears to be consensus, I have moved this article from Flaw to Flaw (band), and created a disambiguation page at Flaw. --Leon Sword 01:18, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Genre
Couldn't help but notice that the article makes no mention of the band being alternative metal. True their early works were nu metal but Endangered Species is a great example of alternative metal. Anyone disagree? --Leon Sword 21:34, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reunion
"However at a more recent show, the band had several problems with the venue, and Chris and the entire band were pissed about the constant equipment failures, however they finished the set and all seemed to be laughing about the incidents by the end of the show. Chris yelled at people a few times (off stage), but only people who worked for the venue. He also made a statement about how great the other members of the band were, hopefully a sign tat he's trying to be less abusive towards them." The story above was removed from the page as it was "unencyclopedic and unverifiable". however the article currently ends with a similar story (which has the same source, and is just as verifiable as the removed one), only one that makes it seem like the band could break up tomorrow. the show mentioned above happened after the one currently mentioned in the article, so it seems that the removed paragraph shold be edited and re-inserted. i agree it isn't very encyclopedic, but as it stands the article gives the wrong impression of the bands current status.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.255.229.29 (talk • contribs) 15:08, 7 June 2007 (UTC).
- Neither the above paragraph or the other paragraph should be in the article. I have removed the other one as well. --Leon Sword 01:24, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- Fine with me as long as the paragraph which seems to indicate the band is going to split up is removed.68.255.230.238 15:45, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New page
I thought that the track listings and such for the independent releases were out of place in the main article, so I made a new page for them.
