Talk:Flash and the Pan

Uhh. In the UK until the release of "Waiting for a Train" in 1983 they had been a one-hit wonder. This would imply that they had a bigger hit BEFORE "Waiting...". Which? -andy 91.32.104.102 11:54, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Top Class Intro
‘Until the release of ‘Waiting for a Train’ in 1983 they had been a one-hit wonder in the UK, which was a coincidence (but not ironic just in case you needed it made clear and wanted to edit that in yourself, not that I really care, people that are pedantic about the correct use of 'ironic' usually need a kicking) as the expression 'a flash in the pan' denotes something that is only briefly popular.”
Wow! How unbelievably encyclopedic! The gravity of that parenthetical statement adds so much to the piece that it ought to be set aside as an example of how things should be done more often around here. Yet again the quality of Wikipedia shines through. Though it might appear to be a mound of poorly punctuated rotting social offal on the surface, when one digs down to the core sometimes little editing gems like this comes out and it is apparent that it really is after all! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.79.62.16 (talk) 20:29, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
