[edit] changed to vertical because of the resemblance with the flag of the Netherlands

Should that not be "because of the resemblance with the flag of Germany"??

The colours show no resemblance to those of the Netherlands. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.165.149.160 (talk) 13:53, 16 February 2007

Must be correct, I've changed it now. Shame it took so long for someone to notice even after you'd pointed it out, but these days Wikipedia's admins seem to spend all their time spying and sleuthing and trying to frighten away good contributors instead of actually editing the encyclopaedia. *sigh* • Anakin (contribscomplaints) 00:55, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
they changed the flag in 1830. the German flag has been black-red-gold since 1919. see here Flag_of_germany#Weimar_Republic —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.246.7.159 (talk) 16:02, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
