Here in Britain, we sometimes use "flag day" to mean a charity collection - as in "The RSPCA are having a flag day today" - though the phrase is not as common now as it used to be, since it's now uncommon for donors to be given flags to stick in their buttonholes; stickers or the like are now much more widely seen. I was unaware of the use of "flag day" given in the article, until I read it - I had only ever known it to mean a type of charity collection (which is what I was looking for).--DuncanHill 10:53, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Is the list of Flag Days to be found elsewhere on wikipedia? I stumbled on this page on a random tour, and wondered when flag days for countries other than my own were celebrated. I can't seem to find a comprehensive list anywhere else. Can someone add it, at least, if they really think it's worth keeping seperate from this article, to it's own entry? 207.145.132.194 (talk) 14:26, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
