The four large stars in the Southern Cross are described as: "Outer diameter 3/14 length of flag". Shouldn't that be 1/14, not 3/14? Note that 1/14 is consistent with the body of the article, which says these stars have an outer diameter equal to 1/7 of the flag's width (same as 1/14 of the length). Also, 3/14 of the length would be almost 1/4 of the length, or almost half the width, which would obviously be way too big. Richwales 04:22, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Delta Crucis Position

The description of the position for delta crucis is identical to that of alpha crucis. I am not sure what the correct figures are.

[edit] Flag spec

Compare with http://www.diggerhistory.info/images/flags/flag-specs.jpg which seems to be more sensible. (From http://www.diggerhistory.info/pages-flags/australian_flag.htm. -- SGBailey 13:48, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Star sizes

The text that describes the sizes of the stars is incorrect. Alpha, Beta, Delta and Gamma Crucis should be labelled with an outer diameter of 1/14 of the flag's length (not 3/14).

[edit] Spelling error

Beta Crucis is spelt 'Belta Crucis' in the SVG. --Infradig (andrew) 09:21, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Size error

How come the commonwealth star's outer diameter is 3/20 of length and 4 identical stars are 3/14 length?

[edit] Figure text doesn't agree with article text

- The 3/14 number appears to be the ratio of star diameter to Cross height, measured from center Alpha to center Gamma

- Apart from the 3/14 error (which needs fixing), the Figure defines star sizes referenced to flag length, whereas in the article text (and 1953 Flags Act) sizes are referenced to flag width (or height). These give the same result only if the length is twice the width, but I have seen more compact aspect ratio flags. For "short" flags the length reference will produce smaller stars than the width reference. So it seems the Figure text should be changed to conform to the Flags Act.
