Flavio Cotti

Flavio Cotti (born October 18, 1939) is a Swiss politician.
He was elected to the Federal Council of Switzerland on December 10, 1986 and handed over office on April 30, 1999. He is affiliated to the Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland.
During his office time he held the following departments:
- Federal Department of Home Affairs (1987 - 1993)
- Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (1994 - 1999)
He was President of the Confederation twice, first in 1991 and then again in 1998.
