[edit] Fictional character biography
Flashfire is a member of the Imperial Guard, a mixed group of super-powered aliens who act as enforcers of the laws of the Shi'ar Empire. Under his original name of Tempest, he was among the first of the Imperial Guard met by the X-Men who sought to save the Princess-Majestrix Lilandra from her insane brother, then-Majestor D'Ken. Following their emperor’s orders, the Guard fought with the X-Men and were on the brink of victory when the band of interstellar freebooters known as the Starjammers arrived to turn the tide of battle in the X-Men's favor.
[edit] Powers and abilities
Flashfire is an alien possessing the ability to supercharge the cells of his body with bio-electrical energy that he is able to unleash as “lightning” bolts of energy to shock his opponents. Flashfire can also use his stored energy to generate blinding flashes of light.
