Flash Flash

"Flash Flash" is the popular introductory sequence made famous on BBC Radio 1's Early Morning Breakfast Show, presented by Greg James (DJ). The show airs weekday mornings from 4.00 am to 6.30am. At the start of the show, Greg James (DJ) plays the "Flash Flash" tune and listeners are encouraged to flash their lights (headlights, room lights, table lamps, etc) in sync with the tune, commonly referred to as "doing the Flash Flash".
More recently, listeners have also called in to say the words "Flash Flash" while the tune is played, as a form of greeting to Greg and producer Neil, and also providing an indication that they are tuned in to the well-liked show.
On 25th April 2008, the Early Morning Breakfast Show was presented live from Donington Park service station, during which an entire row of trucks did the "Flash Flash" simultaneously with their headlights.
