Flair Hotels e.V. is an international operating hotel cooperation. The association was founded as a cooperation of "family friendly", "family owned", and "family led" hotels. Soon after its foundation, the co-op expanded not only within Germany, but also to neighboring countries such as Austria, France, Italy, and in Switzerland.
Today (as of 2007) approx. 140 hotels belong to the cooperation.

- 1983: Hotelier Josef Kieser Sr. and some befriended hoteliers from the Franken region in Germany established the cooperation. During the same year, the cooperation expanded throughout Germany, thus establishing a German-wide hotel chain.
- 1990: after the "Re-unification" of Germany, lots of hotels from East Germany joined.
- 1993: first Austrian Flair Hotels joined
- 1996: first Italian Flair Hotel
- 2000: first French Flair Hotel
- 2004: first Swiss Flair Hotel
