Fløan church

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Fløan church was a medieval church that stood in Fløan in Skatval, Nord-Trøndelag, Norway around 12 km north-west of the centre of neighbouring Stjørdal. The first written record of the church is in Aslak Bolt's register from 1432. The church has been carbon dated to 1420[citation needed]. Other medieval history indicates that for some time before the current building existed there stood another church at the same location[citation needed]. Materials from Fløan church are presented at Trøndelag Folkemuseum at Sverresborg in Trondheim.
