Flávio da Conceição (born 13 June 1974 in Santa Maria da Serra) is a former Brazilian footballer. Flávio has had a successful career for club and country. He has represented Brazil in the Copa América winning sides.

Flávio began his career with Rio Branco EC in 1992. He then joined Palmeiras a year later and racked up over 100 appearances in 3 years. This caught the attention of Deportivo La Coruña who paid €6.3m for him after the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Flávio was a key force in Deportivo's rise in Spanish football. This was shown by Deportivo's 1999/2000 Primera División triumph. This lead on to a record €26m move to European giants Real Madrid. His stay in Madrid was successful and he was part of the 2001/02 Champions League win.

He moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2003 and then onto Galatasaray in 2004.

In his first season with Galatasaray, they won the Turkish Cup but failed to make the Champions League. This activated a clause in his contract which allowed him to leave and he joined Panathinaikos. Unfortunately, with Conceicao reaching his 30's he didn't manage to fulfill the Panathinaikos expectations and during the 2005-2006 winter transfer window, he was released for free by Panathinaikos.
