[edit] Pop Culture
I don't have a copy of the film or novel handy, but I'm fairly certain that the Corleone Family is NOT one of the "Five Families" in The Godfather. In fact, both film and novel contain several references to actions or reactions of the Five Families to the Corleones' moves. MJFiorello 20:29, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Exactly. For example, Tom Hagen says to Sonny: “...All the Five Families would come after you, Sonny. The Corleone Family would be outcasts! Even the old man's political protection would run for cover! So do me a favor -- take this into consideration.”. As a novel, it is also quite reasonable that Corleone Family is not one of the Five Families, as its story is not based on the story of any of them. Thus Puzzo avoids any controversial comparison. --WikiDCM (talk) 17:52, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
What is the difference between this and the Five Families on General Hospital? You know, Claudia Zacchara, Sonny Corinthos, and others? moi (talk) 00:27, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Godfather series box
While the link to the Godfather series is obvious, should this article really have the full series link box at the bottom? This article isn't about the fictional prtrayals and pretty much everything in the box is irrelevant. I'm inclined to remove it. Leushenko (talk) 17:24, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- Removed it, since nobody seems to object, or care, on the grounds that the Godfather is not the subject of the article, nor connected to it in a direct way. Leushenko (talk) 04:09, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
