Five of Swords is a Minor Arcana tarot card.

Tarot cards are used throughout much of Europe to play Tarot card games[1].

In English-speaking countries, where the games are largely unknown, Tarot cards came to be utilized primarily for divinatory purposes[1][2].

Could be people laying down their swords and walking away because they know that winning the battle will not be worth it anyhow.

Could be that someone is being manipulating or you yourself are.

Could be that someone is gaining from someone else's loss.

The figure in the foreground suggests victory, potency, and ample preparation or confidence. Also suggests unwilling or unnecessary contributions from losing parties. The ragged-looking sky implies a torn celestial plane.
