FIU Station or Florida International University Station, will be a Miami-Dade Transit Metrorail station located at the University Park campus of Florida International University (FIU) west of Miami, Florida, in University Park. It will serve as a link to Florida International University and to the surrounding areas in western Miami-Dade County. It will be located near Southwest 8th Street (US 41) and 117th Avenue North of the National Hurricane Center.
The station will be a part of Miami-Dade Transit's East-West Metrorail Expansion. It will be the western terminus of the main East-West line. It is scheduled to open in 2016.[1]
