Members of the cabal share a belief in the importance of civility, even to people who may not deserve it. They are dedicated to cheerfully removing vandalism, vanity pages, and general nonsense from the encyclopedia.

Every secret society needs a sign by which its members can recognize one another. Ours is an unhealthy fascination with cheese and cheese-like products. If you hear a stranger waxing rhapsodic about gouda, she may be a fellow cabalist.
