Does fish medicine have another, maybe Latinate (ichthy-something) name? If so, maybe we should make a redirect from there to here. Also looked around and found a few other terms: "aquatic medicine", "aquatic veterinarian", and so on. I guess that "fish medicine" is a specialized school of aquatic medicine, and we should make its relationships with icthyology, aquatic medicine, and veterinary medicine clear. Bobby P. Good points. Sadly, although I started it, I'm not the one to expand this article; I just happened to notice the gap. I'll venture some hypotheses on the relationships, however:
  1. ichthyology : fish medicine :: zoology : veterinary medicine
  2. aquatic medicine : fish medicine :: medicine : veterinary medicine
  3. veterinary medicine : fish medicine :: zoology : ichthyology
Re #2, I note that the International Society of Aquatic Medicine appears to deal primarily with human medicine... don't know if that definition is widespread. -- Visviva 11:56, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
